The front middle seat can also be replaced with a factory option 18-liter fridge because why not? If laying the seats down still wasn't enough room, the entire second row can be removed along with the middle seat in the front row to turn the Multipla into a makeshift cargo van. The back row can be laid down to provide impressive cargo space, and if that wasn't enough, all five of the passenger seats can be laid down.

The Multipla doesn't need to stay a six-seater, though. If you need more room in the trunk, the three rear seats can be moved up to sacrifice some legroom in the six seats for extra storage. The doors are also insanely thin, making it easier to step into the Multipla (and also making it a lot less safe in a side impact). It does this in an unorthodox way, with two rows of three seats that are slightly offset to provide more comfort to passengers.Īll the controls are angled towards the driver, similar to a Toyota Supra, and out of the way of the steering wheel, providing near-perfect visibility. Despite its small footprint, the Multipla comfortably fits six passengers. It's 157.2 inches long and 73.7 inches wide. Without any sort of engine upgrades, though, we wouldn't suggest buying a Multipla for speed. Perhaps it would make for a good sleeper build, as nobody would expect a Multipla to show any kind of speed. The Fiat does 0 to 60 in just under 12 seconds, not exactly pinning you to your seat.

Just because it's a good driver doesn't mean it's a fast car. The clutch is smooth, and the brakes are sharp, and even with somebody rolling, it handles like a charm on the open road. The shift knob (yes, you read that right, the Multipla is a manual) is located directly next to the wheel, as you would see in a supercar. The steering is precise and surprisingly responsive. The Multipla sits at just under 3,300 lbs curb weight and contributes to the smooth handling of the car. Whatever craziness that was going on with the design team clearly stayed out of the engineering department as they developed a great car to drive.

Judging the Multipla by its cover, you would probably think that it is just as bad to drive as it is to look at.
